Why are your prices higher than other video resellers?
Our prices include Public Performance Rights - the ability for our customers to present a non-theatrical performance of our programs, without charge, to a gathering of people in schools, universities and other public forums. Films is the leader in this area, offering over 12,000 titles available with Public Performance Rights. In addition, our ongoing efforts to connect our customers with top quality educational content from around the world require a significant financial investment for both Films and our producers. We take great pride in the depth and breadth of our content library, and in the 600+ new titles we acquire every year. Our prices are aligned with the costs of these efforts.
What rights are included in the price of your videos?
The prices for all programs that we sell include full Public Performance Rights.
What are Public Performance Rights?

A public performance is a non-theatrical performance of a program, without charge, outside the home to a gathering of people other than family members and/or acquaintances. These gatherings are normally found in locations such as schools, libraries, and religious and civic institutions. Public performance rights also include closed-circuit transmission within a single building or on a single, geographically unified campus.

Why do some products show as only available in the U.S. and Canada?
Many of our products are available worldwide. However, for some products in our library, Films Media Group has only distribution rights in the U.S. and Canada.
Can I preview videos before I buy them?
Many of our products include preview clips on our website. If you are interested in seeing the entire video, qualifying customers can request a VHS or DVD to preview for up to 30 days for most of our titles by contacting Customer Service at custserv@films.com. Videos are not authorized to be shown to students during this period. If you decide to purchase the product(s), please phone or email Customer Service so that we can bill you per your instructions.
What do I do if I decide not to purchase a video that I am previewing?
If you do not wish to purchase a video after previewing, please contact Customer Service to obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number to put on the package being shipped back to us, so that the returned items are properly credited to your order. You are responsible for shipping the products back to us using a carrier such as UPS, Airborne, FedEx, or the U.S. Postal Service's Delivery Confirmation option. Please retain the tracking number they provide so that the package may be tracked for proof of delivery. If we do not receive the material, and have not been contacted by you at the end of the 30-day preview period, you will automatically receive an invoice from us. If you wish to return material you have been invoiced for, please phone us to obtain a Return Authorization number.
Are your products closed captioned?
Many of our videos include closed captioning. Look for the symbol on a product description page. If it is displayed, that product is closed captioned.
How do I use closed captioning with preview clips?

Why won't the DVD I ordered from you play in my DVD player?
Our DVD products are provided on DVD-R media. The majority of commercial DVD players support this media, but there are some that do not. To determine if the DVD is defective, try to play it in another DVD player or in a computer DVD-ROM drive. If it plays successfully in another device, the original problem is due to a compatibility issue with your DVD player.
Are your DVDs region coded?
Our DVD products are coded as "Region 0" allowing them to be viewed on DVD equipment produced in the United States and overseas.
Who do I contact for technical support on CD-ROMs?
