Knowing the Facts: Preventing Infection

This straight-talking, down-to-earth program describes in detail how HIV is acquired, how it can be prevented, and the relative risks of a wide range of sexual behaviors. Hosted by a young African-American man and Latina woman, the program addresses HIV and AIDS; condoms—what type to use, how to use them correctly, where to get them, and how to properly carry them; injection drug risks; mother-child HIV transmission; and HIV testing. In addition, adolescent myths about AIDS are addressed and dispelled. Contains explicit language and demonstrations. (17 minutes)
