For men living in a youth-centered culture, male pattern baldness can lead to detrimental changes in self-image and social interaction. In this program, dermatological surgeon D. J. Papadopoulos, of The Emory Clinic, performs a series of outpatient hair transplants on a middle-aged man. Inspection of the recipient site, harvesting of the donor site, preparation of the hundreds of hair plugs, and implantation are demonstrated in detail.
