This program presents the viewpoints of wind energy’s supporters and opponents, and explains recent developments in wind power technology. Challengers to the proliferation of wind farms, including conservationists and citizens’ groups, argue that wind turbines destroy the landscape and threaten the safety of nearby residents, while advocates point to their maximization of resources and lack of emissions.
