Equilibrium in a Mountain Habitat

As populations increase, as forests are cut down, and habitats and species destroyed, governments are sometimes able to set aside areas as protected areas. This program looks at two such areas, one in India’s jungle region, the other in the mountains of central France, where human habitation over millennia denuded the forests to the point of making the area unlivable and which is now becoming a model of how man can live in stable equilibrium with other animal species and with plants in a mountainous environment.
