Using a detailed, step-by-step approach, this program takes viewers through the intricate process of engine cylinder head service. Students will gain a thorough understanding of head disassembly, head cleaning and inspection, valve grinding, seat grinding, three-angle valve work, and head reassembly. Computer graphics focus on key concepts, while close-ups of actual working parts illustrate state-of-the-art methods for measuring, calibration, grinding, chamfering, cleaning, and inspection. The program includes information on safety precautions for the removal of valves, springs, guides, and other cylinder head parts, as well as how to lubricate them prior to reassembly.
