Prepare students to inspect and adjust wheel alignment with this in-depth, hands-on program. Illustrating the layout of a professional alignment rack, including ramps, radius gauges, heads, and the readout unit, the program shows how these components operate and presents examples of the readout interface. Inspection demonstrations highlight reading tire wear and spotting loose tie-rod ends, a worn idler arm, and a bent center link, as well as what to check for during a test-drive. Viewers will gain a detailed understanding of negative caster, positive caster, negative camber, positive camber, and toe-out and toe-in conditions, while learning the best methods for making adjustments to remedy all of these potential problems.
