In this program, host Kat Carney explores all 24 feet of the human gastrointestinal tract, stopping at each stage of digestion for a close-up study of the organs involved. In addition, food-borne illnesses, gastroesophageal reflux disease, lactose intolerance, ulcers caused by H. pylori, Crohn’s disease, and traveler’s diarrhea are explained by experts from Tufts Medical School’s Lahey Clinic, the City of Boston Health Department, the New England Medical Center, and elsewhere.
