The Book of Durrow

Durrow lies in the center of Ireland and was one of a number of monasteries where teams of scribes wrote and illustrated manuscripts. The Book of Durrow was written about a hundred and fifty years before the better-known Book of Kells; its treatments are more restrained and abstract than Kells. (26 minutes)
