The oceans are immense reservoirs filled with natural resources which also constitute a highly complex and fragile environment. This program shows us both realities and explains that the two are not necessarily incompatible. It begins with a voyage into the microscopic world of phytoplankton, source of all ocean life. We also learn about the tides, what causes them, and how they are forecast. Lastly, we look at aquaculture, a technique that enables us to farm the oceans without disrupting their balance.
