Although the graphing method will solve some linear systems, it is impossible to identify a point of intersection accurately when it is between integers. As this is true in most cases, an algebraic way of solving linear systems becomes necessary. The elimination methods (by addition or subtraction) are introduced and illustrated by different examples.
