In the Middle East, the rumble of guns in the name of religion has been a way of life for generations. In Northern Ireland, the conflict between Protestants and Catholics is an ages-old tradition. To many observers, these hostilities between and within the world’s major religions seem unsolvable. This program examines the issue of war and peace within Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The program looks at the differences within as well as between the religions that are in conflict, exploring how those conflicts have resulted in violence, as well as possible solutions.
