This program examines heart disease through the eyes of a young man who’s at risk of a heart attack because of a family history of the disease. The program explains the four major factors that contribute to heart disease: smoking, cholesterol, high blood pressure, and lack of physical activity. The program compares risk factors and their significance and discusses which can be controlled, and explains the importance of cholesterol, the role of family history in predicting heart attacks, the effectiveness of lifestyle changes, and the importance of exercise.
